Silverback Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Toastworks ("we", "us") handles information in the game Silverback, including the downloadable version sold on itch.io and any version played in a web browser. By playing the game you agree to the practices described here.
Summary
- Silverback does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
- The game has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics, and no online features.
- Your progress and the in-game photos the game takes of your play are saved only on your device.
Information we collect
None. The game does not connect to the internet and we do not run any servers for it, so no information about you or your device is sent to us or to anyone else. We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, or location.
Data stored on your device
Your save data (chapter progress, times, and settings) and the in-game snapshots shown in the epilogue are stored locally on your computer, or in your browser's storage for the web version. They are pictures of the game itself, never of you or your screen outside the game. This data never leaves your device. You can delete it at any time by deleting the game's user data folder (on the web, by clearing the site's data in your browser).
Third parties
The game contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking software from any third party. If you buy or download the game on itch.io, your purchase and account are handled by itch.io under the itch.io Privacy Policy, which is outside our control. As described in that policy, itch.io may share basic purchase details with the seller.
Children
The game does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the game changes how it handles information (for example by adding online features), this page will be updated before that version is released, with a new effective date.
